    How do I reach Kanha Tiger Reserve?

    Kanha is very well connected by Air, Train and Road. By Air: The nearest airport is Jabalpur (160 km), with flights from major cities. By Train: The closest railway stations are Jabalpur (160 km) and Gondia (125 km). By Road: Well connected to Jabalpur, Nagpur (260 km), and Raipur (250 km).

    Kanha is known for its  high tiger population, breathtaking meadows, and the rare Barasingha, which was saved from extinction through conservation efforts.

    2-night, 3-day trip (4 safaris) is ideal, but a 3-night, 4-day trip (6 safaris) increases chances of multiple tiger sightings.

    Yes! Kanha is one of India’s most well-maintained reserves, offering scenic landscapes, comfortable accommodations, and excellent wildlife experiences, making it perfect for first-time safari-goers and photographers.

    The best time to visit is  October to June, with peak tiger sightings occurring  from March to May. The park remains closed from July to September due to monsoon.

    Apart from Royal Bengal tigers, Kanha is home to leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs (dholes), Indian gaurs, and Barasingha deer.
