Blood pheasant is among the most beautiful birds of Himalayan range. Blood pheasant is also the state bird of Sikkim state in India. Its name was derived from its prominent, blood like red colour on its body and feathers. They can be spotted in the high altitudes. This particular image was shot above Zuluk in east sikkim.
