    How do I reach Rajaji Tiger Reserve?

    By Air: The nearest airport is Dehradun (Jolly Grant Airport, 35 km). By Train: The closest railway station is Haridwar (15 km). By Road: Rajaji is well-connected to Delhi (220 km), Haridwar, and Dehradun.

    Rajaji is known for its  healthy Leopard and elephant population, breathtaking  Shivalik landscapes, and diverse birdlife, including great hornbills and crested serpent eagles. Though Raja Ji was designated as a Tiger Reserve but the Tiger sightings are very common here.

    The best time to visit is November to June, with peak wildlife sightings from March to May. The park is closed from July to October due to the monsoon.

    Apart from tigers and elephants, Rajaji is home to leopards, sloth bears, Himalayan black bears, barking deer, and wild boars.

    2-night, 3-day trip (4 safaris) is minimum duration, but a 3-night, 4-day trip (6 safaris) offers better chances of big cat sightings.

    Yes, you can easily extend your trip to Jim Corbett National Park, Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Chopta, depending on your interests.
