An Unforgettable 9-Day Journey Through Ladakh organised by WoW: We spent 9 wonderful days exploring Ladakh in late August, and the entire experience was deeply rewarding. The itinerary struck the right balance—providing ample time for sightseeing while factoring in essential rest and acclimatization. Stays & Hospitality: Accommodations were comfortable throughout, the food was consistently good, and every property handled our dietary requirements with great care. The warmth, humility, and genuine politeness of the Ladakhi people made every interaction memorable. Driver & Wildlife Spotting: A special shout-out to our driver, Tashi, who navigated the rugged mountain roads with skill and had a sharp eye for spotting local fauna and our guide Jiggy for keeping us well informed of the Ladakhi history and culture. While our morning and evening walks yielded relatively scarce birdlife—Tashi rightly pointed out that dedicated birding requires much more stationary time—our group of four with varied interests was very content with what we encountered. Culture & Landscapes: Beyond the breathtaking mountain scenery and marveling at the impressive high-altitude road infrastructure, the trip offered meaningful cultural and regional insights. We gained a real appreciation for the vital presence of the Indian Army guarding the borders, and visiting two monasteries alongside a nunnery provided a serene window into local Buddhist traditions. A well-rounded, thoughtfully planned journey that gave us a true feel for Ladakh’s heritage, landscape, and rapid development. Highly recommended!+13Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

An Unforgettable Wildlife Experience with WOW I have always been passionate about wildlife and nature, and for many years I dreamed of visiting world’s famous reserve forests(Masai Mara) and experiencing wildlife up close. However, due to my mobility limitations as a wheelchair user, I was uncertain whether such a journey would be practically possible. While searching online for wildlife tour options, I came across WOW. After learning about their safari tours, I contacted Mr. Mohit and explained my accessibility requirements. I was pleasantly surprised by his prompt response, professionalism, and willingness to understand my concerns. After carefully reviewing my needs, he assured me that suitable arrangements could be made, allowing me to confidently proceed with the booking. The itinerary included a jungle safari, a visit to a beautiful lake destination, and a sightseeing program in Lake naveisha. From the moment we arrived until the completion of the tour, every aspect of the journey was thoughtfully planned and executed. The transportation arrangements, airport transfers, hotel accommodations, and resort facilities were all well suited to my requirements. Wheelchair accessibility was available wherever needed, and the staff throughout the trip were well-informed, courteous, and highly cooperative. The highlight of the journey was undoubtedly the jungle safari. Observing wildlife in their natural habitat and witnessing animals from such close proximity was an exhilarating and unforgettable experience. The scenic lake visit and Lake naveisha program added further charm to the trip, making it both enjoyable and memorable. After completing the tour, my companion and I returned home with wonderful memories and immense satisfaction. I sincerely appreciate the efforts made by WOW and especially Mr. Mohit, whose dedication, planning, and personal attention ensured that the entire journey was comfortable, accessible, and stress-free. I would highly recommend WOW to anyone seeking a well-organized wildlife and nature tour, particularly travelers who require special accessibility arrangements. Their professionalism, commitment to customer satisfaction, and exceptional support made this trip truly remarkable. Special thanks to Mr. Mohit and the entire WOW team for turning a long-cherished dream into reality. – Arvind Gupta, Kota (Rajasthan)Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

From the moment we landed to the final goodbye, everything about this Masai Mara trip just worked. No stress, no surprises, just that rare feeling of being in safe, capable hands. It honestly felt like the team had thought of everything before we even needed to ask. They knew exactly where to go, when to be there, and how to help us get those magical shots, not just of the Big Five, but of birds I never even knew existed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I see Snow Leopards in India?
The best place to see Snow Leopards in India is the Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh. Villages like Kibber, Chicham, and Langza are known for regular winter sightings between January and March.
Why is Spiti Valley famous for Snow Leopard sightings?
Spiti Valley’s dry, rugged terrain and healthy prey base of Blue Sheep (Bharal) and Himalayan Ibex make it one of the world’s best Snow Leopard habitats. The animals are easier to spot in winter when they descend closer to human settlements.
How difficult is it to see a Snow Leopard in Spiti?
Snow Leopards are elusive, but sightings are now fairly consistent thanks to expert local trackers and years of experience. During the right season, the success rate of sightings is around 70–80%.
What is the best time to visit Spiti for Snow Leopard photography?
The best time is from late January to mid-March. During these months, the snow forces prey animals to lower elevations, bringing Snow Leopards into view.
How cold does it get during the expedition?
Temperatures in Spiti can drop to -15°C to -25°C at night, while days range between -5°C and 5°C. Proper winter gear, layering, and acclimatization are essential for comfort and safety.
What other wildlife can be seen in Spiti?
Along with Snow Leopards, Spiti is home to Himalayan Ibex, Red Fox, Tibetan Wolf, Blue Sheep, Lammergeier, and Golden Eagle. Birding and landscape photography opportunities are exceptional.
