I had an absolutely incredible experience on my Spiti trip with WOW safaris (World Of Wild)! The entire journey was the perfect blend of adventure and comfort. From start to finish, everything was so well-organized, and I felt completely at ease even in the rugged terrain. What truly made this trip unforgettable was the expertise and dedication of the Spiti team.

We went for a trip to Pilibhit Tiger reserve with World of Wild from Delhi.  We had some phenomenal time as a family- elderly parents, us and very young kids (2/4 yrs) for whom the trip was a great memory- and not just due to the majestic sightings. The experience was unforgettable.

From the moment we landed to the final goodbye, everything about this Masai Mara trip just worked. No stress, no surprises, just that rare feeling of being in safe, capable hands. It honestly felt like the team had thought of everything before we even needed to ask. They knew exactly where to go, when to be there, and how to help us get those magical shots, not just of the Big Five, but of birds I never even knew existed.

India is divided into several biodiversity-rich zones:

Central India: Tigers (Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Pench, Tadoba)

North India: Leopards & Himalayan birds (Rajaji, Corbett, Chopta, Sattal)

East India: Rhinos & grassland birds (Kaziranga, Manas)

West India: Lions & desert wildlife (Gir, Ranthambore, Jhalana)

South India: Elephants & rainforest birds (Nagarhole, Thattekad, Periyar)

Northeast: Endemic birds & cloud forests (Eaglenest, Mishmi Hills)

Central India is the best region for tiger sightings.
Top reserves include Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Tadoba, Pench, and Panna. Each park has excellent safari infrastructure, professional guides, and diverse landscapes that make photography rewarding.

The Gir National Park in Gujarat is the only place on Earth where Asiatic Lions still roam free. Safaris here also offer sightings of leopards, hyenas, and several antelope species. The park remains open from October to mid-June.

India is a paradise for birders —

Himalayan foothills: Sattal, Pangot, Chopta, Munsiyari

Northeast: Eaglenest, Mishmi Hills, Nameri

Western Ghats: Thattekad, Coorg, Goa

Wetlands: Bharatpur, Chilika Lake, and Kaziranga fringes
Each offers hundreds of resident and migratory species, ideal for bird photography.

WOW handpicks eco-lodges, boutique resorts, and comfortable jungle camps, depending on your itinerary and budget. Each stay is selected for its quality, safety, proximity to the park, and authentic local hospitality.

Travel light and practical:

Neutral-colored clothing (avoid red, blue, or white)

Comfortable shoes and a hat

Light jacket (mornings can be cool)

Camera gear and binoculars

Sunscreen, insect repellent, and reusable water bottle

During WOW tours, guests enjoy freshly prepared, hygienic meals — a mix of Indian and continental dishes. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals are available on request. You’ll find India’s diverse cuisines a highlight of your journey!

India’s currency is the Indian Rupee (INR). You can exchange foreign currency at airports, banks, or authorized money changers. Most hotels and shops accept major credit/debit cards, but it’s good to carry some cash for smaller towns or rural areas.

WOW provides complete ground and air logistics — including private SUVs, safari jeeps, and domestic flights. We arrange seamless transfers between cities, national parks, and airports, ensuring comfort and punctuality throughout your journey.

If you’re planning a 10–15 day India itinerary, it’s ideal to include two contrasting regions — for example:

Tigers of Central India + Birds of the Himalayas

Rhinos of Assam + Tigers of Rajasthan

South India Rainforests + Kerala Backwaters
WOW customizes each itinerary based on your interests, pace, and photography goals.
