Visa Requirement
UK citizens require a valid visa to enter India for tourism, wildlife safaris, birding tours, and leisure travel. The most convenient option for most visitors is the Indian e-Visa, which can be applied for online before departure.
Applications can be submitted through the official Indian Government e-Visa portal:
https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/
To apply, travellers typically need a valid UK passport, a recent passport-style photograph, and basic travel details. Processing times can vary, so we recommend applying well in advance of your travel dates.
Your passport should have at least six months’ validity from the date of arrival in India and sufficient blank pages for immigration requirements.
Visa rules and entry requirements may change from time to time. We strongly recommend checking the latest information from the official Indian Government e-Visa portal and UK Government travel advice before making travel arrangements.
